November 1
There are 61 days left in 2022.
I know it's tempting to tell yourself the year is almost over.
You're probably hearing a lot of people around you saying it too. But when you tell yourself the year is almost over, you're also telling yourself...
There's no point in starting anything new.
You might as well give up on hitting your goals for this year.
It's easier to put everything off until January.
But I'd like to offer you a different perspective. On February 1 do you start telling yourself it's almost spring? My guess is you don't. In Chicago, where I live, it's still very solidly winter and spring still feels very far away.
But it's roughly the same amount of time from February 1 to spring as it is from November 1 to the end of the year. You just think about it differently. So you use the time differently.
When you tell yourself you have lots of time, you make the most of it. When you tell yourself there's not enough time, you don't use the time you have.
How can you make the most of the next 61 days?
Instead of writing them off, imagine how much you can accomplish between now and the end of the year. Even one small step each day will move you so far over the next two months. You'll start January with a 61 day head start over where you'll be if you tell yourself the year is over.
Personally, I'm starting work with a new coach next week.
I'll be honest. I felt the pull to put it off until next year. I found myself using all of the excuses…
I'll be less distracted and more focused in the new year.
I have so much going on over the next two months - birthdays, anniversary, previous commitments, holidays.
I could/should save money for the holidays.
But instead I asked myself how I could make the most of the time left in 2022. Which led me to starting something new to help me end this year strong and start 2023 even stronger.
When you ask yourself how you can make the most of 2022, what's a full body, hell yes for you?
