Why Intuition Matters
Your intuition is your ability to find answers and knowledge within yourself.
But more importantly, it's the basis for self-trust and self-reliance.
Which is exactly why patriarchal society has taught women not to follow their intuition. And has conditioned you to believe logic aka seeking answers outside of you is somehow better or more reliable than intuition.
The patriarchy benefits when you don't trust yourself to know what to do.
Think of your intuition like the back-up camera in your car. When you want to reverse you check the camera to see if anything is behind you and if it's clear you put the car in motion. If you get too close to something you'll hear warning beeps.
Which is exactly how your intuition should work. You check in with yourself, get the confirmation on whether or not to take action and trust there will be warning signals if you need to change course.
But when you don't trust your intuition it's like calling someone who isn't in the car with you to ask if it's ok for you to back up. They can give you an answer and it might help you navigate without crashing, but it’s not based on reliable information.
And when you do it over and over again you don’t learn how to figure it out for yourself.
Keeping you reliant on other people to tell you what to do, how to do it and when.
Tuning into and building a solid foundation of trust with your intuition means you don't need to ask anyone else what you should do or what's best for you.
Your Human Design Authority tells you exactly how your intuition speaks to you - it's not the same for everyone. When you understand what your intuition feels and sounds like it will be easy to distinguish your intuition from the fear and doubt you've been conditioned to have.
