The In Between

Most Human Design types have waiting as part of their Strategy. And even if you're a Manifestor and can move right into action. You still go experience The Void after a Disruption, just like every other human.

This means there's always going to be a gap between the time when you set a goal or intention and the time when it manifests into reality.

You get to decide how you want to feel during that gap in time - The In Between.


What I see many of you do once you set a goal or an intention to make a change, is tell yourself that where you're at right now is terrible. For example...

  • Once you decide you want to find a new job, you dread going to work at your current job every day.

  • When you set the intention to begin a relationship, you tell yourself that you hate being single.

  • After setting the goal to learn a new skill or hobby, you start criticizing yourself for not being better at it now.

That's not only completely unnecessary, it will make it even harder to trust your Human Design strategy and wait for the timing that is aligned for you.

You can love where you are right now and have the intention to create something new.

The false dichotomy of love it or hate it almost never serves you. You're just amplifying the anger, frustration, burnout and creative blocks that you feel because you're spending so much time resisting your current reality.


When you slow down, embrace your current reality and trust that the goal will manifest when the timing is right... that, my friends, is where the magic happens.

If you're struggling to embrace being in The In Between, I encourage you to make a list of at least 10 reasons why where you are right now is perfect. For example...

  • What are 10 things you love about your current job? It can be something as simple as the free sparkling water or the music in the elevator.

  • What are 10 reasons why being single is amazing? I did this frequently when I was single and one of mine was full control over the temperature in the house.

  • What are 10 reasons that the act of learning something new before you reach mastery is the best part of the process? Perhaps it's a feeling like excitement or anticipation.

There are no wrong answers. Just remind your brain of all of the good you have right now, even if you're also working on creating something new.
