Confession: There are quite a few holidays I don't enjoy. But at the very, very bottom of my list is Valentine's Day. I'm not going to spend time on that because my reasons aren't unique. It's made up capitalist BS, it's forced and insincere. Etc.
But what may be a more unique and possibly less popular opinion is that I also hate the concept of Galentine's.
Before you start throwing your champagne and chocolate hearts at me, let me clarify. If you love the idea of Galentine's and it feels like a fun excuse to get dressed up and go out with your girlfriends then please keep doing it.
My problem with Galentine's is when it feels like a consolation prize or a way to prove something. To me the messaging around this "holiday" is that you have two options - a romantic Valentine's Day or a girl power Galentine's Day.
With the underlying message being if you're single and don't do it up for Galentine's, you're being whiny and bitter.
Let's take the heart theme of today and turn it inward. In Human Design, the Heart Center is known as your Identity Center.
It's all about self-expression and writing your own story.
Much like with Galentine's Day, it can be easy to take in the idea of either/or based on your conditioning and current popular opinion. When you fall into this trap you aren't using the energy of your Heart Center effectively.
For example, you either conform or you're crazy. You're either successful by masculine standards are you're woo and a free spirit. This keeps you from living at your highest potential because you're missing out on the magical in between that makes you unique.
The reality is you can stay in alone on Valentine's Day and be thrilled with your life. You can have massive success doing things the patriarchy would consider non-traditional.
You get to write your own story. You get to choose.
As your coach, I'll help you write your story and then create a plan to make it a reality. During the six months we work together, you'll also get:
🧠Weekly coaching

Schedule a consult to get started.
During the consult we'll talk about what you're looking for and what's missing. I'll lay out a process to help you get there. And then we'll decide if we want to move forward. Either way, you'll get info about your chart and some strategies you can implement right away.
